Fashion Friday – Denim

Okay, ladies so let’s talk denim!

Denim is a classic, everybody loves a good pair of well-worn jeans or the classic fading jean jacket. It’s one of the best centerpieces an outfit can have and has the effect of making an ensemble look more complete. The fun part about denim is that it has the ability to go with pretty much every color. For a dressier look black is a great confident tone with jeans that just speaks professional, but for more of a comfortable style pairing a plaid button up with a jean jacket is cozy and chic, and let’s be real here- is perfect for those days you don’t feel like doing too much.
A more bold look can be achieved by even pairing jean on jean. But, the key to this is the color tones. Wearing a light wash jean button up shirt or a light chambray blouse with a dark wash jean looks amazing, and to tie it together tuck in your shirt and find a fun color belt. Wear a light pair of shoes, and your runway ready.
Now if you just need a fun complementing addition to an outfit, a jean vest is always a good option. Experimenting with denim is fun and gives a good foundation for your wardrobe.

So for this outfit, I’ve paired these dark wash jeans, with a light color wash (chambray) blouse Then, tucked it in and added a thin bright orange belt. I accessorized with a simple white and silver necklace and silver earrings. I’ve given 2 options for shoes because depending on your day you may want a more comfortable look with sneakers, or if your going for more of a dressy tone a pair of point-toe flats are perfect. Just remember the color tones are what sets the outfit off right.
